Indonesia with a population of over 250 million, is a very big and potential
country. Even the government is targeting, Indonesia became the center of
digital economy in the ASEAN region in 2020.
This is reinforced by data from Google and Temasek, which Indonesia predicted to play a significant role with the mastery of about 52 percent of the e-commerce market in Southeast Asia, where the transaction value will reach 46 billion US dollars in 2025.
Based on APJII data of 2016, the number of internet users in Indonesia is
132.7 million or about 40% of the population. Compare with the previous two
years where the number of internet users is still at 88 million. This proves
significant internet user growth and will continue to increase in the coming
years. Along with improved data access and network infrastructure.
New opportunities emerge in the Internet era. Currently, Indonesia has given
birth to a myriad of talents of global achievement and technology startup
continues to grow and spawned major global companies.
